Introduction to Mae Sariang

One of the most peaceful districts within picturesque surrounding of the north westernmost of Thailand, Mae Sariang is sited in the arms of the lush multi complex mountain ranges, and its western border is contiguous with Myanmar. You may have many accommodation choices in this tranquil area and some are found alongside the banks of Yuam River and all of them boast of impressive river views. Mae Sariang is rather far from the city centre of Mae Hong Son or it is approximately 165 kilometers away. The major attractions in its town zone are ancient temples that are elaborately constructed in the blend of art style of Shan and Myanmar. The morning market is a nice place where visitors can find some chic coffee shops to chill out and watch the local way of life. During October - December, tourists can drive out of the city for around 16 kilometers to Doi Mae Hoh to enjoy the Mexican Sunflower Weed field while jungle lovers can visit Salawin National Park and overnight amongst the nature.
