Introduction to Bang Saphan

Bang Saphan is a district in the south of Thailand and belongs to Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. This is one of the coastal area that lies along Gulf of Thailand. It is approximately 380 km from Bangkok and it is reachable by around 6 hours bus ride from the Southern Bus Terminal from Bangkok. Those coming with own vehicle may arrive here within only 4 hours. The fine beaches in the area is still mostly unspoiled by tourism industry, therefore this is a great destination for tranquility seekers. The mid-range boutique beach resorts and budget friendly guesthouses are numerous and they are all ready to provide their service to every taste of vacationers. Only 20 km north of Bang Saphan is Ban Krut Beach which boasts of its broader sandy beach with a lot of shades from coconut and pine trees. The other recommended beach is the one at Ao Mae Rampueng which is about 17 km from the town center and this is a very popular choice of local people. There are some shops selling dried seafood products and those who like seafood can find some good restaurants here. To change the scene, less than 10 minutes drive south of the area is Tham Marong Cave Temple and in the cave you will see hundreds of Buddha images and amazing stalagmites and stalactites.
