Introduction to Suan Phueng

Situated 160 km from Bangkok, Suan Phueng is a western district of Ratchaburi Province in central Thailand. It is an ideal destination for weekend getaway from Bangkok because of its easy 2 hour drive. The main highways number 35 and 3208 lead directly here. The general landscape is hilly and most parts come with lush mountain backdrop that make weather here cooler than its neighbouring districts during winter. A handful of chic, boutique resorts are positioned on a green lawn and surrounded by well designed gardens. Most of them have their special, unique characters that make themselves an attractive spot for visitors to come for one day trip or stay overnight. Some resorts are located within the valley and close to Phachi River and they are becoming one of the popular landmarks for mainly youngsters to come for beautiful photographs. These places contain for example Mediterranean style architecture and good fun family activities like sheep feeding which are suitable for every type of visitors especially those with kids. Another picture-postcard landmark is Baan Hom Tian where visitors can buy beautifully decorated scented candles in various sizes, which are designed for souvenirs. In addition, there are many worth visiting, natural attractions, namely Pong Yoop, the amazing geological formation, the Nine Level Waterfall and Bo Kleung Hot Spring.
