Introduction to Ban Pae

Situated 20 kilometers from Rayong City, and 200 kilometres from Bangkok, the seaside district of Ban Pae is a well-known area for a large local commercial area of fresh and dried seafood products, and is the place for the major ferry pier to Koh Samet. Although all 2 kilometers long of Ban Pae shore is not suitable for swimming, visitors can chill out there while enjoy its fascinating views over Koh Samet from a distance. There are some good quality resorts available for those who wish to stay overnight here or for those who plan to continue their trip to the island. The popular Mae Ramphueng Beach is just a short drive away, while other interesting points to visit are Rayong Ban Pae Aquarium and Ban Pae Market where shoppers can have a wide choice to enjoy buying edible products and souvenirs. This is the main gateway to well known Koh Samet which is the highlight of those who come to this district, thus using this as a base to travel to the island is a very good idea.
