Within a 20 minute southeastern drive from the city center of Rayong is Mae Ramphueng Beach. The length of this golden sand and its clear water make this place very popular for locals and visitors to Rayong Province. The panoramic view of the Gulf of Thailand is an attractive thing of this beach, not only that a range of tall casuarina trees that flank all 12 kilometers long of this straight clean beach is the other character that make this place ideal for relaxtion. Alongside the beach road are found numerous resorts, bungalows, condominiums as well as a large number of fresh seafood eateries. The only warning of this place is about a rip current, especially in around May until October. Visitors who have little kids or if you yourselves are not a fluent swimmer need to be very careful when going down to the sea. However, Mae Ramphueng Beach is overall a very good choice for a relaxing beach holiday.
