Introduction to Koh Kood

Koh Kood, the 4th largest island in Thailand, is about 315 km from Bangkok and 80 km from the town center of Trat Province. Traveling by speedboat from Laem Sak Pier on the mainland will take only an hour to Ao Salat Pier on the island. This tropical paradise is surrounded by the turquoise water, powdery white sand beaches and mangrove forest with the perfect biodiversity. The island is covered by a lush rain forest and in the middle of the island is Klong Chao Waterfall, an ideal spot for a cool dip. There are no roads that encircle the entire island, yet 2 main roads at the northeast and the west link to the pristine beaches around. Several thatched roof, tropical bungalows amid landscaped garden and swaying coconut trees are the perfect bases for peaceful retreat. On the western coastline are the famous beaches like Ao Yai Ki, which has the canal passing through, Tapao Beach where another port is located and Ngam Kho Beach where are placed most of the accommodation.
