Phuket Invitational

The difference between the exclusive Phuket Invitational Mega–Yacht event and other regattas and rallies in the region is that it is strictly by invitation only. Inaugurated and organized by Seal Super Yachts Phuket in December 2000 and sponsored by Featship, it is procalimed as a “Rendezvous for Super Yachts” - boats over 30 metres.
Since its first accomplishment, this rendezvous of graceful classic vessels and multi-million dollar motor yachts has become stronger over the years.
The Phuket Invitational Sailing Regatta features a fun sailing event, cocktail parties on board participating yachts and a superb gala dinner party on the last evening of the regatta.
Participating in the 2005 regatta were: 94ft S/Y Lady M, the 80ft S/Y Intrigue and two Camper Nicholsons – the 80-year-old, 142ft, S/Y Sylvia and the 13-year-old, 94ft, S/Y Yanneke Too, while M/Y Double Issue, S/Y Cordelia, M/Y Vie Sans Soucis, S/Y Silvertip, M/Y Asean Lady and M/Y Maid Marian II, the Great Lakes cruiser where there to observe. On the first evening Maid Marian celebrated its 75th birthday with a sunset cruise up the northern coast of the island.
