PIMEX – Phuket International Boat Show

With the fast gaining momentum in the marina industry due somewhat to the removal of the 250% import tax on yachts coming in to Thailand the inauguration of Phuket’s own boat show in December 2003 was opportune and since then has grown in size every year.

Held in Royal Phuket Marina the show is a combination of on water and in hall displays with some of the best yachts in Asia available for show attracting potential buyers from all over the world, many of whom are discovering the benefits of owning a yacht in Asia for the first time.

Many of the world’s major yacht manufacturers exhibit at the show and have been known to remark that the quality of sales opportunities in Phuket is on a par with that of Monaco.

The show has now found its place in the boat show calendar in late March allowing many of the exhibitors to show their finest products.
