Spa Review

morradok spaAsian Wind has recently opened the latest in their collection of Phuket spas at the Horizon Beach Resort Hotel situated in the heart of Patong Beach.

Managing Director of Asian Wind, Peter Heppell has many years of experience both in training, fitness and the massage therapy industry and has created a range of mid-priced spas that offer massage therapies found not only in Thailand but around the region.

Morradok means Heritage in the Thai language and Asian Wind has created a journey into the past at this beautiful new spa. Natural wood furnishings that were popular at the end of the nineteenth century have been placed in the massage rooms combined with soft natural light and tropical plants. Although in the center of surrounding massage parlors, this upscale retreat is hidden away within the Horizon Beach Resort Hotel.

Asian Wind has developed a therapy menu based on the best treatments that promote health and rejuvenation. Their signature body treatment at the Morradok Spa is a Fig Tea and Rosemary Wrap which is a class above body wraps offered at other spas. A special massage table with a hidden heating pad is used and the guest is treated to a cleansing application of fig tea combined with the healing and softening effects of milk and rosemary. The body is wrapped in several layers of comfortable material and the heat from the hidden pad ensures added benefits of brighter, softer skin.

The extensive massage menu includes Oriental Fusion, wonderful for relieving pains and strains. A combination of Asian and Western techniques, it is offered to those who prefer a strong massage. An 85 minute Traditional Thai massage or a HBS (Head, Back, Shoulders) Stress Release are also available.

The spa menu offers aromatherapy facial treatments and facials specifically designed for men. The Pampering Deluxe includes the use of warm thermal blankets to warm and relax facial muscles. The skin is deeply cleansed using steam, hydrating compresses and extractions. A face mask chosen for skin type is applied while the arms and feet are massaged. Finally, an aromatic moisturizer, eye gel and silk dust are brushed onto the face for a new, brighter and healthier look.

Morradok Spa has a variety of Luxurious Packages that can consume two to four hours of leisure time. Bring together everything you have ever wanted to pamper yourself with the ultimate in mind, body and soul revitalization.

One delightful package is the Asian Indulgence of five distinctly different treatments - a fabulous blend from the Orient. The Secrets of Siam for couples includes a Siamese Herbal Scrub, Traditional Thai Massage and Nature's Own Facial for Two. Enjoy herbal tea and Thai desserts to complete the experience.

The Morrodok Spa also offers waxing for all body parts as part of any treatment program. Experience the full range of therapies at Morradok Spa, this newest addition to the Asian Wind collection of spas.
