A group of 9 islands off the coast of Phang Nga approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Phuket, the Similan Islands are world famous for their spectacular natural beauty both above and below the water. Protected as a national marine park (the park is closed from May to October and three of the islands are closed to visitors year-round), the islands are often rated among the top 10 dive sites in the world.
The islands are normally referred to by numbers from 1 to 9 but also have their own Thai names. This fantastic day trip departs from Tab Lamu Pier in Phang Nga and takes in islands 4, 7, 8 & 9, featuring pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and great snorkeling with an abundance of marine life to see.
