Nai Harn Beach

A picturesque and quiet beach near the southern tip of the island. There aren’t many places to stay here but the beach is easy to get to from Kata and Karon.

One of the loveliest beaches in Phuket, Nai Harn is relatively undeveloped thanks to the Samnak Song Nai Harn monastery which occupies a large portion of the beachfront land. The only accommodation on the beach is the Royal Phuket Yacht Club which dominates the northern end of the beach.

Behind the beach is a lagoon where there are some low-key bungalow resorts, private villas and a few good bars and restaurants.

Ao Sane Beach

This is a small rocky beach that can only be reached by a small road that runs underneath the Royal Phuket Yacht Club Hotel. There are a couple of bungalow operations here as well as a couple of restaurants.

Activities

During the dry season, the sea here is great for swimming. However, the waves during the rainy season can be quite big with strong currents. Check the flags for swimming conditions. This is probably the best spot for surfing in Phuket although few surfers make it this far south.
