The Similans are an archipelago of nine islands found some 55 miles northwest of Phuket off the coast of Phang Nga Province, Located in a marine national park, the islands are only open to visitors from November to the middle of May when the weather is at its best. The main attraction in the Similans is the world-class diving and snorkeling in the crystal clear water which boasts an abundance of marine life. Above the water the beaches are pristine and there are plenty of interesting rock formations.
